4. On the map that appears next, use your finger to drag the pin representing your location so the address at the top of the screen changes . Tap the Save button at the bottom of the screen.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4, but this time, drag the pin back to your location's correct address. Make sure to tap the Save button again when you're done with correct address. 

                    

 STEP 2

We only few steps ahead to do here: Just tap the notification shown above, and you should be taken into the Trusted Places section of your Android Smart Lock settings. There, your phone should show you to use the "new" address as your Trusted Place location. And you need to  tap "Yes."

In case you didn't get that notification or maybe you dismissed it mistaken you just need to go to the mobile system settings, search for Smart Lock, then head into that section and tap the "Trusted Places" line. You'll probably have to enter your PIN, pattern, or password first as a security. Tap the line labeled "Trusted Places," then tap the line representing the location you just adjusted and look for the "Turn on this location" prompt at the bottom of the screen.

Tap that, and you should be back in business  with your Smart Lock Trusted Places feature working properly again.

How to Find Your Lost Smartphone

Android User

Google has installed a location finding feature in Android. All mobile phones with Google’s operating system with version 2.2 or higher can be easily located via the Internet with the help of the Android device manager.

1. Turn on Android device manager

You must first prepare your mobile phone so that it can be located when required. First, go to the “Google settings” app in the device and click “Android device manager” there. Now activate both options “Remotely locate this device” and “Allow remote lock and erase”.

2. Version 4.1 and higher: permit location

Another measure is required for all smartphones that have Android version 4.1 or higher: you need to allow location access in the phone settings so that your phone can be located. Move the “Access to my location” slider to “On” and confirm the displayed message with “Agree”.

3. Locating, locking and erasing your

Android device Log on to android.com/devicemanager with your Google account. In a few seconds, you will see active devices in a Google Maps view. Next to the location details, you will also see other commands such as “Ring” (functions even if the mobile phone is on silent), “Set up lock” and “Erase”.

iOS User

iOS devices are always on top on the hit list of mobile phone thieves. To curb this Apple has equipped its devices with a function that enables them be tracked, locked and erased via iCloud.

1. Setting up iCloud 

iOS devices are located via iCloud. To use iCloud, you will need an Apple ID, which iOS device users generally have. If not, get yourself an Apple ID from https://appleid.apple.com/. On the device, login with this ID under “Settings” and “iCloud”.

2. Turning on the location function

iCloud can locate much more than just the device. However, you need to enable the location function. You can do this on your iPhone or iPad under “Settings” and “iCloud”. Activate the “Find my iPhone/iPad” function right at the bottom of the list.

3. Sending a message to the finder

If you lose your iOS device, turn on your computer and log on to icloud.com with the used Apple ID. Then click “My iPhone/iPad”. The service then opens a map. A green dot indicates that the

iPhone is currently online. Click “i” to see the various available functions: you can play a signal tone or erase the device. With the ““Lost” mode”, you can block access and show a message on the

device’s display.

Windows Phone

If you lose your Windows Phone, you can track it down using some tools that are already pre-installed. The basic functions are available free of cost right out of the box.

1. Using the Windows account (Live ID)

You need a Windows account for locating Windows Phones. If you don’t have one, you can create it at https://signup.live.com. You must then link the account with your phone. To do so, click “Email

+ accounts” under “Settings” on your phone and then click “Add an account | Microsoft account”.

2. Turning on location services

To allow location search in Windows Phone, switch back to “Settings” and then to the “Location” menu item. Activate “Location services” there.

3. Locating, locking and erasing

Moto G 2^nd gen

The first generation Moto G was an excellent device which was available at really attractive price tag. It offered almost everything you would expect from a mid-range device. However the rivals were catching up and the device needed a refresh. Moreover there were some features that were missed on the device and to address them, came in the 2^nd generation Moto G. it has got a 5 inch 720p display which is impressive. Powering it is a Snapdragon 400 chipset with the quad core processor running at 1.2 GHz. It has got 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The previous generation device didn’t come with a micro SD slot which put away many buyers. This time they have taken care of that and added a micro SD card slot.

This device continues to be a dual SIM device like the previous generation device. The primary camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels which is up from 5 megapixels of the previous generation device. The battery life continues to be just as impressive as the previous generation device. This is really a device worth considering instead of the grand prime for its lower price tag, better display and better design.

Asus Zenfone 5

This is another excellent device that we would like to recommend wholeheartedly against the Samsung’s entry in this segment. It runs an Intel chipset which posts excellent benchmarks scores. The display on the Zenfone 5 measures 5 inches and has 720p resolution. It has got 2 GB of RAM which is rare for a device of this class. The amount of RAM makes a significant difference in the performance of this device. The ZenUI running on this device takes up a fair bit of RAM but you don’t have to worry as you are still left with plenty of free RAM. The processor runs at a maximum clock speed of 1.6 GHz though we found that the minimum clock speed of this processor is very high. While this makes the device very quick and responsive, the battery life takes a hit. The device is available with 8 and 16 GB of storage along with micro SD card slot. The built quality is excellent and surpasses many devices in this class.

Micromax Canvas Nitro

This device was recently introduced by the Indian manufacturer and is quite an impressive one. Micromax has really covered great distances in terms of reliability and built quality. This device isn’t plasticky or cheap like the earlier devices. In fact it features a simple yet elegant design with a leather feel back like you would find on the Galaxy Note 3. It has got a very powerful octa core processor that manages to keep up with some high end chipsets when it comes to benchmark scores. It runs at a maximum clock speed of 1.7 GHz. It has got 2 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal storage. There is a micro SD card slot as well. The camera resolution is higher than the Samsung as it has got a 13 megapixel primary camera. And if you are more interested in the front camera, it has got a 5 megapixel sensor.

Nokia Lumia 730

If you are open to other operating system apart from android, this could be a very good choice. The Lumia 730 is successor to the impressive device Lumia 720.
